Letters regarding the John Corvino cancellation

“One and Done” doesn’t do justice

Dear Editor:
In response to the cover story “One and Done” (March 18), the headline and story do not accurately portray the season the record-breaking men’s basketball team compiled this year. After finishing 25-9 (school record for wins), the Saints deserve a more respect than a headline emphasizing a loss in the Sweet 16 of National […]

Clarification on nursing students in commencement opinion

To The Editor:
Regarding the op-ed column in the March 18 Saint, it is true that U of D Mercy nursing students do not participate in the Aquinas Commencement. Let me add, however, that Aquinas has invited their full participation for several years but U of D Mercy has not agreed. Though the nursing […]

The editorial, “No Choice,” in the October 31 issue of The Saint gives flesh to proverb that “the devil can cite Scripture for his purpose.” The editors of The Saint enlist Pope Benedict XVI as an ally in their argument for allowing pro-choice viewpoints to be heard during pro-life week as a way of […]

Abortion should not warrant diversity of viewpoints

I enjoy reading the AQ Saint as an alumnus and am glad to be able to read about recent events on campus with every forthcoming issue. However, I am disappointed to read the Saint’s editorial titled “Discouragement of opposing viewpoint during Pro-Life Week unreflective of Dominican values.” While I can sympathize with the laudable view […]
